Kent Ohio Food Not Lawns is dedicated to encouraging individuals to produce food for themselves, their families, and others. We work together in the community to swap seeds, plants, food, advice, techniques, chores, and stories. Regular meetings are scheduled, including seed swaps, food swaps, workshops, farm and garden tours, discussions, and community projects. Hopefully everyone can bring something to the table and fun can be had by all. Please see our scheduled events.
Please check out Food Not Lawns International and read the book Food Not Lawns by H. C. Flores for more information on the inspiration of this group. If you have questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
“The average urban lawn could produce several hundred pounds of food a year.”
